9ct Gold Spider Pendant with Opal, Ruby, Sapphire & Pearl Converted Brooch

£1,350.00 £1,495.00

This exquisite piece of antique-inspired jewellery is a fine example of Victorian whimsy and craftsmanship. Originally a 9ct yellow gold bar brooch, it has been beautifully converted into a pendant and is now suspended from a delicate fine belcher chain, allowing it to be worn and admired anew.

At the heart of this unique pendant is an intricately crafted spider, poised delicately on a slender gold bar. The spider features a striking 5.6mm opal as its abdomen, showcasing vivid flashes of colour, and a 2.7mm ruby forming its cephalothorax, adding a rich, red contrast.

To the right of the spider rests a luminous 4.8mm opal, echoing the iridescence of the central gem and enhancing the pendant's overall balance and allure.

Beneath the spider, two charming insect motifs complete the composition. One insect is formed from a 2.7mm ruby and a 2.5mm pearl, while the second insect combines a 2.7mm sapphire with a 2.5mm pearl, offering a delightful trio of gemstone accents. Each stone has been carefully selected and set to bring a playful, naturalistic feel to this imaginative design.

The pendant hangs gracefully from a fine belcher chain, adding to the elegance and wearability of the piece. Ideal for collectors or lovers of unusual, nature-themed jewellery, this converted brooch pendant is a standout addition to any collection.
