Dating to approximately 1961, this vintage Rolex Oyster Speedking Precision is a beautifully proportioned example of Rolex's early sports and everyday wristwatches. Featuring a classic silver-toned dial with applied baton hour markers, Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock and the distinctive Oyster Speedking signature, the watch has an understated vintage character that reflects the styling of the period.
The dial has developed an attractive natural patina over more than six decades, giving the watch individual character and emphasising its vintage appeal. Slim hands are accompanied by a contrasting blue central seconds hand, while the simple time-only layout keeps the design clean and highly legible.
Powered by a traditional manual-winding mechanical movement, the Speedking was designed as a compact and practical Oyster watch. The stainless steel case is paired with a stainless steel bracelet, creating a classic Rolex appearance suitable for both collectors and those looking for a wearable vintage timepiece. The Speedking was produced from the 1930s into the 1960s and was typically offered in compact cases of around 30–32mm.
Measuring approximately 30mm without the bezel and 33mm including the bezel, this example retains the smaller proportions characteristic of vintage Rolex watches. With its naturally aged dial, early Oyster construction and circa-1961 production date, it is an appealing piece of Rolex history with considerable period charm.
